When as a child I had to finish a project or wanted to achieve a goal, my mother told me: “If you are in a hurry, go slow.”
At first, I didn't understand what she meant. How could I go slowly if I wanted to finish something quickly? If I want to get somewhere quickly, should I drive slowly? If I want to finish my homework and then go play, should I do it slowly?
She taught me what she wanted to convey to me; She told me, “If you do it in a hurry to finish quickly, you can make a mistake and have to start over; “That will make it take you longer in the end.”
So, if one wants to get timely results that stick to the expectation, one has to plan, concentrate and execute with precision.
With the years, now I can assure that all of this is okay, but you have to be cautious in this because, on the other hand, dwelling too much on details seeking perfection can cause stagnation and, then, projects are delayed, left unfinished, or never start at all.
When you feel that you are wasting your energy trying to solve problems or if you feel stuck, instead of continuing to move forward believing that you will finish quickly, pause to understand, accommodate, set your purpose, make a plan, and return to action with a strategy that allows you to achieve the results that you expect. If you are in a hurry, go slow.
